Virtual Harvard-Wide Events and Learning
In addition to our Harvard Club of Washington, DC in-person and online events, you may want even more. More learning. More engagement. More Harvard. The following virtual options may be of interest to you:
Community and Event Guidelines
As a formally recognized club by the Harvard Alumni Association (“HAA”), the Harvard Club of Washington, DC (“HCW”) adheres to the Harvard University Alumni Affairs & Development (“AAD”) Community Expectations and Expectations for Attending Harvard-Sponsored Events and Gatherings. Those taking part in HCW events and activities are held to the same expectations and guidelines as those specified by AA&D.
Community Expectations
AA&D and HCW programs and volunteer opportunities respect the rights, differences, and dignity of others. Those taking part in AA&D and HCW activities, are expected to demonstrate honesty, integrity, and civility in those activities, and are accountable for their conduct there with University alumni, students, parents, volunteers, employees, and invitees. AA&D and HCW reserve the right to suspend services to and to exclude from participation in AA&D and HCW programs any person whose inappropriate behavior adversely affects the safety, well-being, and inclusion of community members. Pursuant to Section 2.05 of the By-Laws of the HCW, for any conduct by a member seriously harmful to the welfare of the HCW, the Board of Directors may determine to commence a proceeding to consider whether to terminate or suspend the membership.
Expectations for Attending Harvard-Sponsored Events and Gatherings
AA&D and HCW programs and volunteer opportunities respect the rights, differences, and dignity of others. Those taking part in AA&D and HCW activities are expected to demonstrate honesty, integrity, and civility and are accountable for their conduct with all members of the Harvard community. AA&D and HCW reserve the right to suspend services to—and to exclude from participation in AA&D and HCW programs—any person whose inappropriate behavior adversely affects the safety, well-being, and inclusion of community members. New policies on nondiscrimination and antibullying went into effect on September 1, 2023 and may be found at https://www.fas.harvard.edu/non-discrimination-anti-bullying-and-other-professional-conduct-policies.
