Join us for a volunteering opportunity at the Capital Area Food Bank on September 26 (Saturday) at 9:00am!
The Capital Area Food Bank is the largest hunger-relief organization in the Washington, D.C. region, partnering with hundreds of local nonprofits to provide millions of meals and promote equitable access to nutritious food for people in need across D.C., Maryland, and Virginia.
Volunteers will help sort and pack food that will be distributed throughout the community to families, seniors, and individuals facing food insecurity. It is a great way to make a real impact, learn more about the work of Capital Area Food Bank, and connect with Harvard alumni community.
Please note that volunteers are required to wear close-toed shoes and are encouraged to wear comfortable clothing. Volunteers must be at least 12 years of age to volunteer. All under the age of 18 must be accompanied by and actively supervised by a parent or legal guardian.
If for some reason you cannot participate, please let us know as soon as possible so another volunteer can take your place.
